Background of the company

In 1998 Interactive Toy Concepts Ltd. was launched with the aim to change the way consumers think about the toy business.  It was felt that an answer needed to be given to the growing concern over increasing play patterns of inactivity amongst youth, adults and children alike.  As reported in many high profile news stories, questions such as, "How can we get them to play outside again?" and "How can we engage fathers to play with their children?" began to surface. With a market saturated with video and computer games resulting in antisocial trends it was time to shift the tides, and renew interest in outdoor activity and personal interactivity, hence the company name.

The objective of Interactive Toy Concepts (ITC) is not only to appeal to the youth demographic, but also to the mature male market ie. Dads, teens and college age males.  By doing so ITC has and will continue to develop eye catching high quality products through in-house and inventor development and strategically utilizing licensing, such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Cessna, Polaris, Ski Doo, Arctic Cat, Goodyear etc., to capture the imaginations of this group.  Our Bladenmner, Air Rage, and Snowmobile brands are great examples of products with state of the art technology, superior performance, and appeal to both adult males and children.  ITC strives to produce product that emulates the real thing in style and performance.  This strategy proves to be contagious as more and more adult males are caught saying, "I want one of those FOR ME!'' as well as for their younger counterparts.

With our broad demographic in mind, ITC develops toys that have a hobby grade performance level at key price points, which allows for distribution across Toy, Hobby, Electronics, Catalog and Club shopping channels.  We currently ship our products to retailers such as Discovery Stores, Mastermind, Hobby Shack, Brookstone, Hammacher Schlemmer, Seventh Avenue, Circuit City, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Toys 'R Us, Wal-Mart, Loblaws, Costco, and Sams Club to name a few.  ITC services this retail trade with showrooms in Toronto and Hong Kong and participates in major Toy, Hobby and Electronics shows to expose the line to this retail audience.
