STEP #4 - attaching the gondola to the balloon

This procedure is for modules which are being re-attached after storage and for all new modules, *including any modules with factory-supplied 2-sided tape. To make sure the module will stick to the balloon, use either Scotch tape or wider clear packaging tape. Ensure both surfaces of balloon and top contact edge of module are dry and clean of dust or grease. Simply roll or 'loop' the tape so that you have the sticky surface on the outer side. Alternatively you can use double-sided tape available at most hardware stores. As shown in the diagrams below, place the tape (gray areas) along the angled contact lip/edge of the top of the module.

o If using standard width Scotch tape, place several loops along the edges, as shown.
o If using wider, clear packaging tape, loop the tape length-wise and apply as shown. Place any access tape towards center so it will be hidden from view.

*The additional tape may either be applied directly on top of the supplied 2-sided tape, or by removing the 2-sided tape and apply directling to the plastic edge, ensuring both surfaces of balloon and top contact edge of module are dry and clean of dust or grease.
