Watch-It PDA tips & tricks

To download photos from your PDA onto your computer:

This assumes that you have installed the included PDA manager software and have taken at least one photo with your Watch-It.

1. Make sure that the serial cable is plugged into the serial port on your computer and that the 1/8" mini plug is firmly inserted into the socket on your Watch-It.

2. Launch the PDA manager application on your computer.

3. Click the 'menu' button of your Wrist-Cam to access the menu screen.

4. Use the right-hand side buttons to scroll down to 'Synchronize'.

5. Click the 'Enter' button located below the viewscreen to start the synchronize process. Two transfer indicator arrows will appear on the Watch-Its viewscreen.

6. Now go to the PDA manager application on your computer. Click on the 'Synchronize' button on the left side of the application.

7. A flyout menu will appear which allows you to select the type of transfer that you want by clicking on 'Type'

8. From the 'Type' menu select one of the 3 transfer type options.
a) 'Synchronize' will ensure that all files will appear on both the Watch-It and the Computer.
b) 'Desktop Overwrite Watch' will cause the computer files to overwrite any files on the watch, with the same name.
c) 'Watch Overwrite Desktop' will cause the watch to overwrite any files on the computer, with the same name.

9. As soon as you select 'Type' a progress screen will popup. Select 'Start' to start the data transfer.

10. A status indicator will appear showing how the transfer is progressing.

Note:
If you take too long before initiating the synchronization process on your computer, the Watch-It may time-out and go into power-save mode. If this happens, you must re-start the synchronization from the Watch-It.

From the PDA manager 'Synchronize' flyout menu, you may select 'Com'. This allows you to change the Com port that the PDA software uses to communicate with your computer. Normally you would leave this set to Com-1. If you experience problems with your Watch-It not being able to interface with your computer, try selecting Com-2 instead.
